Week-7 Integrative Studio

This class we were told about how to further move with our first project. We had to plan out a structure for the 3D card file models that describes ourself. it was supposed to have a meaning and reason behind. Throughout the class I brainstormed and tried to come up with a structure. Some ideas that came to my mind were very different and impressive but they weren’t feasible and some of my ideas were influenced by the people around me. At the end I finally found the perfect and unique way to set up my structure.

My structure has four layers that are like the steps of my life. Every step is of a different shape which shows that I have changed and evolved and my traits and personality has led to that change. The first layer is a square, second layer is a triangle, the third one is just two parallel lines and the top most is just one 3D model.

The top most step/layer’s metaphor is: I am a pearl always in a shell. The reason why I chose to put this at the top is that, throughout my life, these 18 years that I have lived, I have changed and It took me 18 years to become the best version of myself. After that also I am hidden inside a shell that I built for myself because I am still afraid that some people are not meant for the real me and the others who know the real me, know that how bright and precious I am. The shell is just for my own protection.

First layer metaphors:

Second layer metaphors:

Third layer metaphors:
