Substitution Class
In the last class Prarthana ma’am also asked everyone to search some quote, idioms, phrases, metaphors etc related to time. We were told to write 3 narratives today. These narratives were then to be converted into storyboards.
We were asked to show the “passage of time” by creating a story board comprising of 4-5 frames.
My ideas for the narratives were:
- When I am listening to songs and that one song comes on and 3 minutes fell like 3 hours
- The moment when your phone slips out of your hand and those few seconds seem like a whole of an eternity
- And the third one I deal with the concept of how comfort and familiarity grow when one spends time in a particular place for a long time. For this I used my own room here in Mumbai. When I shifted to Bombay everything was new for me, the environment, the people and my bedroom. I used my room and the wall behind my bed, that was plain when we first came. But as we spent more time we decorated to make it more comfortable and the detailing portrays the familiarity that grows.
I still have to figure out a way to draw my feeling. I also want to think of more narratives and improve them.
