The first thingI did when I came to college is sit with Jai sir and figure out how to go about this process of digitising my zine. The only two questions I had were Where to start and What to do.
Sir told me about procreate and suggested that I only trace the outline of my sketches on procreate and colour it and put shadows and everything using photoshop. He also gave another alternative which was using the pen tool and brush tool in illustrator and then tracing my sketches.
I took the short cut and decided that I will use procreate. I got an i-pad and started doing my work. Turned out it wasn’t as easy as it seemed. In the first half I was only able to completely trace one of my sketches.

In the second half I thought, now it’ll get done faster as now I got the hang of it but to my disappointment the second sketch took more time than the first one and looked like a 5-year-old’s drawing.

The lines in procreate were shabby and uneven as if some kid drew them just for fun. I decided that I’ll do the rest of the sketches using illustrator.
Before going off for my brother’s wedding on Tuesday I wanted to get over with my sketches at least but I couldn’t as I wasted a lot of time on figuring out how procreate works and trying to do my work using the shortcut.
