Last class ma;am asked us to take several pictures of places and things in Mumbai and then to create a series of 6 photos out of those and we were also asked to take 2 pictures that describes our word . These pictures had to be based on one of Gestalts design theories. My word was ‘Vigilante’ and it was a bit of a challenge for me to click pictures that capture the essence of the word.
The first thing that came to mind was the the autowalas in Mumbai. They are the literal saviours for the people here and still we don’t actually praise them enough. For my second picture I actually put some effort and thought about it. I tried to take a picture of the pole star. It said that the pole star helps the people who are lost, the wanderers, it is the only star that shines at night when the other stars are hidden behind the clouds.
