Throughout the first semester, Studio class was one of the few classes that I enjoyed. As soon as we started the first studio class of this semester I knew I was gonna have a lot of fun this semester also. When Kanika ma’am said we are going to watch a short clip I was excited, excited because I was planning to take a power nap when everyone was watching the clip. However, when ma’am played it and I heard Chandler’s voice I forgot everything about sleep. I was saying every dialogue with the characters. It was the episode where Joey tries to write a letter of recommendation to an Adoption Agency.
We were divided in groups and each one was given a word to convey through a skit. We managed to get ours right in a matter of few minutes because of the great performances of our team members or maybe our word ‘trepidation’ was close to the synonyms of fear, anxiety etc which weren’t that hard to show.
- After the skits, our teacher gave us three questions to reflect upon:
- Is it important to know the dictionary meaning of a word?
- Is it important to know all the synonyms?
- Are the synonyms replaceable?
