The topic of discussion this week was The Mauryan Empire.
We learnt about the book Arthashastra, written by Chanakya in which he instructs a new King on how to govern empires.
We then discussed the decline of The Gupta Dynasty and the rise of Mauryan Empire. We learnt how Ashoka brought down Bindusar and how he wanted to capture Kalinga. We also found out that the war of Kalinga was the reason Ashoka converted to buddhism.
