Today’s class was all about the museum visit we had last week. The trip to the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum was really interesting and I feel I got to know a lot about this city after reading about the history of it. The entire visit was very educational, all focused on the city of Mumbai.
In the museum we read about the seven islands which connected to one. The whole architecture and paintings in the museum were really beautiful and delicate. It strikes a sense of aesthetic. It is beautiful on the outside, and on the inside. Supposedly, it went through a huge transition and redevelopment very recently. We also studied how the British gained Bombay as a dowry from the Portuguese.
During this visit I found out a lot of interesting and unique things about Mumbai. This city somehow manages to surprise me every single day.
