Our submission was due today. After I came back I tried completing my drawing zine but a lot of my work was accumulated so I was doing one thing or the other in my zine till the end. I tried my best to paint it and bind it in a way that it looks personal to me. So I decided to use thick threads of different shades of green and bind it in a very old fashioned way. I poked 2 holes at some distance and used the threads to tie it all together.
Jai Sir graded us today. We started going up to him one by one and showed him our zine. He is our faculty for imaging so he already had an idea of what are zines were about. The only thing that seemed off about my zine to Jai sir was that in the frame where the guy is proposing there was no ring in the ring box.
Except our final drawing zine we were also supposed to show him the references we used while making the zine. The only reference in my entire zine was the character of the boyfriend. No man is more perfect than the batman in the animated series and Johny Bravo of course. So I used both of their characters and came up with the man of every girl’s dreams.
Drawing class has really taught me a lot. Sonia ma’am helped me discover different styles of painting and improving what I already knew. It is because of this class that I am confident about my drawing skills.
